(This is an absolute must-read article—ed.) At Mass on the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, I was captivated by the Gospel and Father Bud’s question to attendees. Luke 12 states: “Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known when the thief was coming he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be prepared, for at any hour you do not expect the Son of Man will come… Much will be required of the person entrusted with much and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”
Clearly, the passage is an admonition to be prepared at all times should our life end and we then face judgment by our Lord. Father Bud’s question was: What is your greatest fear? I found myself wondering, Is it the fear of dying? Is it the fear of the unknown?
But Father’s message, as I heard it, was more to the point: What difference can we make in the world with our life?
If we play big, but yet be humble, we can make a difference through asking God for his guidance, and, in the process, be prepared for when the Son of Man does come. If we can just let go and let God, there is no telling what we can do!
While the Gospel awakened me, Father’s question also caused me to realize my greatest fear for America; namely, a threat from inside and outside our country to which Americans must be awakened.
I must again state my belief in our responsibility to assist people of all faiths, anywhere in the world, who are being persecuted or having their basic human rights violated. We should demonstrate love for one another as described by Jesus Christ. Care for them in their own home country if possible.
Events do repeat themselves, as people who do know history see.
In 1198, a Catholic order of priests called the Trinitarians was formed with one of its primary missions to rescue Christians being persecuted in West Africa and the Holy Land. They would negotiate the amount of ransom to be paid for release by their Muslim captors.
Fast-forward some 600 years to the year 1800, when Thomas Jefferson was President of the United States. American merchant sailors were being taken by Muslims and held for ransom. This was also happening to the British and French merchant sailors. This had happened long enough that nearly 20% of the U.S. annual budget was going to pay ransom.
Jefferson was frustrated and approached the Trinitarians to assist in obtaining the merchant sailors release. Each time the Trinitarians went back to negotiate with the Muslims the ransom demand was increased.
Without telling the Trinitarians, in heightened frustration, Jefferson formed the marines and sent them on the USS Constitution to the shores of Tripoli where they bombarded the Sultan and the city until the Sultan surrendered and entered into an agreement to not capture and seek ransom for American sailors. This was called the Barbary Coast War and resulted in the words “to the shores of Tripoli” being a part of the Marine Corps Hymn.
To this day 216 years later the Trinitarians are still working to save Christians from persecution occurring many times at the hands of Muslims.
This process of capture for ransom by Muslims even ending in death, many times by beheading, has been going on for at least 10 centuries.
When will these barbaric actions be understood by the American people as part of radical Islamic terrorists enforced subjugation of Christians to conversion to Islam or death?
One thing is certain Americans cannot continue to look at Islamic terrorism through our eyes and beliefs, but must look at them through the eyes, beliefs, and actions of the Islamic terrorists.
Dabiq
I encourage you to go to the internet and enter the word “Dabiq.” Dabiq is the 82-page English magazine, published by ISIS’s al-Hayat Media Center, distributed on July 31, 2016.
Following is a summary of parts of the magazine provided by a Washington D. C. source:
Bearing the title, “Break the Cross,” the articles in this issue reflect a theological war between Christianity and Islam, delving into the past and the present.
The foreword to this issue makes clear the purpose of the articles, stating that they are directed to ‘Crusaders’ to read why ‘Muslims hate and fight them,’ why Christians should ‘break their crosses,’ and why ‘skeptical atheists’ should recognize and submit to Allah.
The final article in the issue, ‘By the Sword,’ succinctly describes the theme of the issue:
“Images of Islamic State lions engaging their prey on the battlefields of Iraq, the Levant, and other frontlines – as well as in Paris, Brussels, Orlando, and other cities behind enemy lines – deliver a clear message to the Crusaders and their allies: This is a divinely-warranted war between the Muslim nation and the nations of disbelief. Despite this clarity, many people in Crusader countries express shock and even disgust that Islamic State leadership ‘uses religion to justify violence.’ Indeed, waging jihad – spreading the rule of Allah by the sword – is an obligation found in the Quran…
An article titled ‘Words of Sincere Advice,’ and written by a fighter identified as an American and a ‘former Christian who accepted Islam,’ did not address Christians, but instead called on Muslims to ignore their imams who disparage ISIS and its mission, and to pledge allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He also suggested they carry out attacks around them, writing:
‘As for a final word of advice to you regarding your operation, do not make intricate plans, but instead, keep it simple and effective. If you can obtain a weapon, do so and use it, as soon as possible and in a place that will cause the most damage and panic, bringing death and injury to the enemy of Allah, the disbelievers. Just as they terrify the Muslims in the lands of Islam, so should you terrify the disbelievers in their homelands. But unlike them, your terror shall be just, an equitable response to their crimes against Islam and the Muslim nation.’
One article entitled ‘Islamic State Operations,’ highlighted ISIS attacks ‘that have succeeded in expanding the territory of the Caliphate, or terrorizing, massacring, and humiliating the enemies of Allah.’ Mentioned in this section were the Orlando attack which was described as being carried out by:
“our brother Omar Mateen, one of the soldiers of the Caliphate in America, carried out an attack on a nightclub for sodomites in the city of Orlando, Florida. He succeeded in massacring the filthy Crusaders, killing and injuring more than 100 of them before he was killed.”
Can anyone read this and not conclude that Islamic terrorists are at war with America? What are we, the United States of America, going to do about it?
It is time to get credible answers to some serious questions.
Are you aware of the following facts:
- The Muslim Brotherhood developed a 100-year plan to take over America
- The Muslin Brotherhood actively operates through more than 36 front groups or organizations in America to implement their plan, called “The Project”
- Muslim lobbyists to the U.S. Congress and Department of Education have successfully included instructions on the Muslim Faith and customs into American schools under Title VI. This would be opposed for similar Christian or Jewish instruction as a violation of the U.S. Constitution and separation of church and state. Oh, and by the way YOU are paying for this through your federal taxes.
- The accepted deception and concept of “TAQIYYA,” which allows LYING in order to advance Islam and/or prevent harm to Muslims
- There is an Office of Muslim Relations in the White House and in the major Federal agencies including the offices of the Attorney General, Department of State, and Department of Defense
It is past time to stop trying to be politically correct and recognize that this clash of two civilizations and cultures has to be addressed within America. Silence by American Muslims to the barbaric actions of ISIS or other terrorist Muslims around the world and in the U.S. is not acceptable.
When will these questions be answered? When will the belief that America is the greatest country in the world and worthy of preserving for future American generations be a primary objective of American elected officials?
America and Americans have been entrusted with much in material wealth and opportunity. Many Americans have been entrusted with even more and thus still more is demanded from us to serve the common good, seek justice for all and preserve liberty for future generations. We do this by exercising our right to vote!
Please share this message to awaken Americans before it is too late!
