“Friends, the Capuchin friars welcomed a broken man into their home, their routine, and their lives,” says Bishop Barron. “In showing Christ’s tender love and mercy to Shia LaBeouf, they saw a man reinvigorated and ultimately welcomed into the fullness of the Church.”
“It’s a beautiful story, modeled time and again throughout the ages by the brotherly example of Jesus, St. Francis of Assisi, Padre Pio, these brothers, and countless more,” Bishop Barron continues. “The more you give of your life and your love, the more the divine grace increases in you. As with all conversions, there’s so much more than we might readily be able or invited to see. The genius and humor of God is that there is a ripple effect with each conversion.”
