At last night’s Presidential Debate, “fact checker” Linsey Davis was completely wrong about Trump’s claim that some states allowed abortion after birth. As viewed on television and as reported many places, including the Boston Globe (boston.com), in an article published September 11, 2024, and titled “Tell Us: Who do you think won the Presidential Debate?” by Eva Levin, Ms. Levin reports:
“Moderators fact checked the candidates live during Tuesday’s debate. One such moment came after Trump falsely claimed some states allowed abortion after birth. At the end of his answer, moderator Linsey Davis stated Trump’s claim was not true and moved on.”
“Fact Checker” Linsey Davis was 100% WRONG.
The TRUTH is that some states DO allow abortion after birth: We know first-hand that one of those states is CALIFORNIA.
Of course, we’d prefer to call it what it is—intentional murder—to take the life of a newborn up to one month after birth (“perinatal” as stated in the California Proposition—now California law—that was approved by voters in 2022).
