On the Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone announced his “A Rose and a Rosary for Nancy Pelosi“ campaign, which will be executed thrrough the Benedict XVI Institute.
The collective roses—one for each person who signs up to pray—will be delivered en masse to Senator Pelosi tomorrow, Friday, October 1, on the Feast of Saint Therese of Lisieux, the young Carmelite nun in France who died of tuberculosis at age 24, promising to shower the world with roses after her death.
Don’t worry – it’s not too late to sign up, the prayer is what counts most! Sign up here.
The intense prayer campaign—”A Rose and a Rosary for Nancy Pelosi“—was spurred by the current, relentless drive of San Francisco-based U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, a self-proclaimed Catholic, to push through legislation (HR 3755) that would make killing babies in the womb legal through the day of a baby’s birth, even allowing a baby to die if he or she managed to survive a botched abortion, and overriding any pro-life state laws.
“I am therefore inviting all Catholics to join in a massive and visible campaign of prayer and fasting for Speaker Pelosi: commit to praying one rosary a week and fasting on Fridays for her conversion of heart,” Archbishop Cordileone pleaded. “Please sign up for the ‘Rose and Rosary for Nancy’ campaign at BenedictInstitute.org, and a rose will be sent to her as a symbol of your prayer and fasting for her.”
